I just wanted to send a note about Ed Cochran. I contacted Malarkey Roofing after being concerned about a recent ‘ hail storm ‘ we had in Arvada, Colorado. I lost a lot of granules and had a few spots on my shingles I thought might be hail damage. I just had the roof installed 3 years ago ( it was not a ‘hail claim,’ I just wanted to replace my shake roof) He contacted me immediately and then came to my home on Aug.7th. He inspected my roof and reassured me my roof was in good condition. He even replaced a few shingles and said he would send at least one into the factory to be tested that may have been defective. I really appreciate the service I received and am glad I chose Malarkey Roofing when I replaced my roof. I certainly will be an advocate for Malarkey because of their product and support. I would also like to thank Bill Morgan for calling me back immediately and also contacting Ed.

“Greg, I want to thank you for Malarkey’s generosity in donating shingles (and all other needed materials) for the Habitat project State Farm is sponsoring in Wichita. I was there yesterday along with a group of State Farm associates and area high school students, and your Kansas representative, Mike Nelson was on the job site all day as well. Though we didn’t get a far as we hoped on the roof, it should be completed by the end of the weekend. When we have a donation like this, we especially try and talk it up in the local media and with our agents in the area. And we try and educate everyone on the job site why these shingles are different.

“I wanted to share with you a roof we installed 2 weeks before the recent hail storm. The storm produced golf ball size hail. Many roofs will be replaced in Independence but not this one. Only minor damage to the valley metal and maybe a few shingles spot repaired on the west side from the most severe direction of the storm. Notice the punctures on the old flat roof! This is another great testimonial from your local Malarkey shingle approved installer.

Going above, beyond for vets
We would like to acknowledge some local business owners and employees for the good things they have done.
Our roof was in need of repair due to wind and hail damage, so we had three roofing companies come out and give us an estimate. One of the men had visited with my husband when he inspected the roof and realized Don was a survivor of the U.S.S. Arizona attack on Dec. 7, 1941. He called later in the evening and asked my husband to postpone our decision as he might be able to give us a better deal. He came out in a couple of days and told my husband all he needed to do was pick the color of the shingles, that every thing had been taken care of through donations from a lot of people after they had read my husband’s story on the Internet.
Needless to say, we were overwhelmed by the very generosity of the people involved so we would like to acknowledge each and everyone that took part in the repair of our roof: Ken Jones, the orchestrator of the project; Holladay Grace Roofing, Roger Grace owner; Shawn Conquest and Metal Products; Brian Merriman of Allied Building Products; Mike Brannan of Pacific Supply; Glen Sisk from Skyline Sky-lites; Via Health, Laura Hein Products, supplied all the lunches for everyone; Ed Cochran from Malarkey Roofing supplied the shingles; and the men that did the work on the roof.
We cannot begin to thank them all for remembering the World War II veterans, and we will be eternally grateful for the thoughtfulness and generosity of the work that was done on our roof by all these wonderful people.

I had the pleasure today of meeting Ed Cochran, one of your manufacturer’s representatives.
I have a roof leak, which a roofer had attributed to a problem with cracks in the Marlarkey Alaskan shingles on part of my roof. Ed came out to investigate and really went the extra mile to figure out that the leak is probably the result of water from a roof vent, rather than from the cracked shingles.
Although the cracked shingles will have to be replaced, Ed showed me that the leak I currently have is likely from another cause.
I was extremely impressed by his analytical skills and the effort he made to figure out the problem and then have me see it for myself. You are fortunate to have someone as thorough as Ed, who makes an extra effort and takes the time to provide excellent service to his customers.
